Case Scenario: Create a brief patient case scenario. The scenario should include a patient/family from the culture who has the emerging infectious disease.
Describe the patient (the patient’s background, history of the illness, presentation to the clinic/hospital, the signs/symptoms, how the EID is diagnosed (diagnostic tests if any) treatment options (very briefly – antibiotics?) and incorporate a cultural belief/implication based on your research of the culture that may cause an ethical dilemma (example: Against the person’s religion to have surgery on Sundays).
