This final essay will serve as a culminating project for this course. It will tie together various aspects of the development of rock music that were discussed in the textbook.
This 3-4 page essay is due no later than May 10th at 5:00 pm CST. It should be prepared on Microsoft Word and emailed to the instructor. If a student does not have access to Word, the essay may be prepared on any word processing program and emailed as a PDF.
Essays submitted incorrectly will not be graded and will result in a failing grade for the assignment.
This final essay is worth 100 points. Students should consult the grading rubric
while preparing the essay in order to make sure that all areas are covered.
Students should cite specific artists and songs that are used in the textbook in support of their arguments. The use of outside sources is required, and all sources must be properly cited using APA style.
Essays should contain a clear thesis statement and then tie in information to support that thesis.
A clear introduction and cogent conclusion are important parts of a well-constructed paper.
Essays must be the original work of the student.
Any essay that is wholly or in part plagiarized will result in a failing grade, as well as a report to the Dean of Student Affairs.
