Based on the reading assignments for this topic/section: Identify five (5) research gaps (areas that should be researched) in the literature that would help to “solve” the somatic dysfunction riddle
Identify the article or sources where the gap was identified (use proper AMA citation format)
Provide a rationale/explanation for why the gap should be closed or investigated
Identify any research that is currently being done or has been completed that may be complimentary or helpful in addressing the identified research gaps (5) as well as any that would help clinicians with somatic dysfunction as a whole along with explanation why this research and/or their findings would be helpful in achieving this goal (use proper citation format)
After reviewing the reading assignments from the Somatic Dysfunction section or from what you have come across related to this topic, what is recommended for further research? (e.g., the Fasciculatory Response Method). A research gap is something that needs investigation in order to understand or validate a process or application, its basically something that needs researched, which may be Chapman Reflexes, an aspect of TMR, etc..
The Key Question Rubric will be utilized for grading, therefore, beyond answering the questions above, we are looking for you to also address potential implications as well as to utilize your courses key concepts, material, applications–to answer the posed questions, e.g., #3 above.

Key Questions:
The format of the Key Questions will be a written response to a posed question from the instructor of the course, which will require the utilization of class discussion/lecture, readings and your clinical experience. The Key Questions are NOT an informal response but a scholarly or research/technical based writing assignment and should reflect the rigor of this format. The rubric that will be utilized for grading of Key Questions will be posted on Blackboard. Based on feedback provided, the student will formulate action steps to be taken for the next key question to improve their work. Action steps are due prior to the next key question assignment as noted on the syllabus.
