What aspects of the Blum Model (and subsequent iterations) are relevant to understanding and addressing health disparities? Cite at least three general strategies for tackling health disparities, explaining why each strategy can be effective. Identify at least one existing health disparities in the U.S. presenting special challenges today, citing statistics to illustrate why it is considered a disparity. Comprehensively describe two or more specific social, economic, political, behavioral or environmental policies, beliefs, or practices that have contributed to the identified disparity. Lastly, explain at least four efforts to bring meaningful change and eliminate this gap that exists.
