Career Placement Reflection Paper
Hopefully, you have a general idea of what you want to do for your future career. The purpose of this assignment is to help you gather information about this preferred career and to compare this career with the results of a career placement test.
This assignment will consist of 4 main parts:
- Find information about your preferred career from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook (https://www.b1s.Roviooh/a-z-index.htm), a list of 800 potential careers
- Find information about the projected salary for your career from Salary.com based on your preferred location (https://www.salarycom/researchisalarV)
- Take a career placement test to see if the results match your preferred career
- Write a short reflection paper reporting what you find out (2-3 pages)

- This test identifies three primary career possibilities, followed by a few additional career possibilities

- This test identifies three potential career interests

- This test identifies potential career interests and some potential careers based on education and preparation levels.
- Please note that you can print or save several of these reports in greater detail than what is shown on the main screen.

- This test is based on the Holland Codes, which reflect six different characteristics (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional)
Scoring for this assignment will be:
- 5 pts. for the first step
- 5 pts. for the second step
- 5 pts. for completing the career placement test
- 10 pts. for the reflection paper (5 pts. for the paper, 5 pts. for the quality of the grammar)
- 25 pts. total
The Career Placement Reflection will he due via Blackboard before 9:30 am on Thursday, November 17, 2022. An example for the first few steps is provided below.
