The essay should be 700-900 words (3-5 pages) in length. In addition, the paper should include a title page and a references page. Note: The title page and the references page are not counted as part of the paper length.
Sources for the paper must be scholarly such as books by historians, peer-reviewed journals or scholarly websites (i.e., those ending in .gov, .edu, or .mil). No more than half of the references can be from the Internet. DO NOT USE Wikipedia as a reference. You should use at least three sources (two may be from the Internet) in addition to your text.
