Read the case “Evaluating a Hiring and Variable Pay Plan” in Chapter 12. In a four to eight (4-8) page paper, address the questions below. Remember you must evaluate the HVP programs proposed. In your paper you should:
1. Include a brief summary of the situation.
2. Assess the attractiveness of the HVP program for both applicants and those whoreceive offers, deciding for whom it would be the most attractive.
3. Predict and justify if the HVP program will likely increase the job offer acceptance rate.
4. Predict and justify if the HVP program will likely reduce turnover.
5. Give your opinion about how current associates will react to the HVP program.
6. Suggest what issues and problems the HVP plan will create for Human Resources and for the hiring manager.
7. Propose and justify changes in the HVP program.
The format of the report is to be as follows:
- Typed, double spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides, APA format.
- Use headers for each of the subjects being covered, followed by your response
- In addition to the four to eight (4-8) pages required, a title page is to be included. The title page is to contain the title of the assignment, your name, the instructor’s name, the course title, and the date.
