Ratio of the area

by | Sep 27, 2021 | Homework Help

“Let G be a Golden Rectangle having base b and height h, and let G1 be the smaller Golden Rectangle made by removing the largest square possible from G. Compute the ratio of the area G to the area of G1. That is, compute Area(G)/Area(G1). Does your answer really depend on b and h (the original size of G)? Are you surprised by the answer?”I understand the concept of the Golden Ratio and how to prove the smaller rectangle is also a Golden Ratio, but this problem confuses me because it adds area. Any help would be great, thanks!
