Reflection Assignment
Summary and Reflection Assignment: Read Picking Cotton and write a 2-page double-spaced (this does not include the title or reference page) summary and reflection paper. Paper is to follow APA format. The paper is to include the following five components:
- Introduction (1 paragraph)
- Overall summary of the book (2 paragraphs)
- Choose one of the main ideas presented in the book and locate a peer-reviewed psychological research article from the library databases that relates to the main idea. Synthesize the main idea from the book with the findings of the research article. (2 paragraphs)
- Write a personal reflection about the main idea from the book and the article you chose. This would include how you feel about what you learned, how it might or not match your expectations, how it is different from your personal experiences, etc. (2 paragraphs)
- Conclusion (1 paragraph)
You do not need an abstract, but should have a title page, page numbers and most importantly your in-text citations should be done in APA style. You should also include your references on a separate page. For more information on APA style, check out:
